Subject: Re: hi again
Hey momma ! Glad to see I'm by the Christmas tree ! We have our own here in Brazil too....hahahahahaha I'll send the picture of it. Sounds like a good week full of business and a lot of emotion haha I miss it. Glad to hear your first couple days of substitute teaching went well. And you're right, boys are trouble before their missions....except for me :) Thanks for the pictures btw I like seeing stuff that's going on back home. Eli wants to open his presents early !? I didn't see that one coming ! And I want to hear what Shekynah came up with this week hhaha ahhh they'll make great memories ! This week has been pretty chill and it seems like it went by really fast. We had our last district meeting of the transfer because we have transfers at the end of this week. I'm excited because tomorrow we travel to Salvador for a Christmas devotional thingy and we're doing a Secret Santa. The picture of me holding a pet monkey is when I had splits with Elder Brito, an Elder from São Paulo, and we had a really good day together. I taught about the plan of salvation for the first time which was scary at first but it was great. I think that's my favorite lesson to study and teach, I'm not sure though because I really like the first lesson too. But, just the fact that I can bring people to the knowledge that they have a Savior and he suffered for them personally. And their Father in Heaven has a plan for them to one day live with their families and for all of time and eternity. It kind of makes me sad that it takes being so far away from all of the people I love for me to realize the greatness of this gospel but I'm glad I have the opportunity to learn and grow and build my relationship with my Father and Savior. My baptismal invite wuz da bomb diggidy and she said yes, that she'll be baptized this Saturday. I hope everything works out. Her son Lucas that we're teaching also has a baptismal date for next Saturday so we're moving, it's awesome. He came to church and he's just really cool and the both of them will be a huge plus to the church. Sorry this letter is short but it's just been one of those weeks I don't know ha. But I love and miss you all so much !Love,Elder Decker
