Fwd: Happy Birthday

: Fwd: Happy Birthday

So this week was pretty, not good ha. I was sick most of the week. I went to the hospital and took an injection in the buttox and it was the worst thing that I've ever experienced. I thought I had died ha. But after I felt a little better and stayed in bed for 2 days. That's honestly what was so horrible. The fact that I had to stay in bed doing nothing.

We have transfers tomorrow but we're gonna go to Salvador today and see some peoples. There's an Elder here that's here part time I guess you could say, he's serving a mission but it's not his mission. He got called to Miami Florida but is here to fill holes. So we're gonna see his family in Salvador today. Then tomorrow I get a new comp 0.0

Silvester is an investigator we have. We were looking for a referral one day and we weren't finding it and he saw us and invited us in. We've only taught him once but he is super cool, he was really interested in the fact that we aren't Brasilians. He speaks a little bit of Spanish too. But that's cool that he added you as a friend.

Soooooo, the lady with the umbrella found me again. She even got on the same bus just to talk to us...hahaha Brasil.

We were with some recent converts and they are super evangelical because pratically everyone here is. But, we got on the topic of faith. One of the big church's here is the Universal Church. And it seems like the only they preach is health and prosperity. And so when you talk about faith here it's all....God will heal me, god will give me this and it's pretty bad what people think of faith and God. And it hurts some people to hear us say that God isn't gonna heal us whenever we want or give us everything we want. I think David A. Bednar said it best..."Do you have the faith to not be healed." Do you have the faith to keep living the gospel of Jesus Christ even when you are suffering and hurting. Whosoever does not carry his cross and follow Christ cannot be his disciple. The things that God has to offer are not temporary like money and health and The things He has to offer are much much more important and everlasting. The thing is we don't have to go through it all alone which a lot of times we choose to. Christ told his followers that they would have to forget about comfort and families and daily pleasures to follow Christ but he said he would be with them and that is the greatest gift of all. The grace of God keeps us going when we can't go anymore. But that also means you have to go until you can't anymore. Our Heavenly Father has never, not even for a moment, forgetten about any one of us and he never will. Come unto Christ and be perfected in him. Notice the miracles that God perfoms just in one day of your life. You can become like the people we read about in the scriptures that have stories that showed great faith.

Love ya love ya love ya love you all
